i started using one at 4mos to feed my daughter as she couldnt sit in a high chair. i loved it. by just before 5mos she was sitting independently.

I haven’t used one personally considering I don’t have any kids yet, but I do know someone who used it and she said only positive things about it. She used to use it as a high chair for her daughter to sit in at relatives houses and when she was taking a bath or something she would set the baby up in it in the bathroom. You just have to be extremely careful to not leave the baby unattended in high places in it.

I recently adopted a baby and they used it for him. It actually slowed down his development a bit. It seems as soon as he wasnt using it he had to learn on his own (with our help of co
urse) how to set up. If you use it becareful of not over using it.

There is another little girl that i know, her parents use it with her she is 8 months old and still can not sit up on her own.

I used one with my son and now with my 4 month old nephew. They loved the independence. We use it to play and to eat. It was better than lying down all the time. My son sat up on his own pretty soon after that.

I just got one yesterday.. My baby is 3 1/2 months. She is doing very well in, But I would still be active in the part of helping her sit up on her on. They need to have pretty good head control before they can actually use it. or they would just slump over. But it will help them as well to sit up, but not as much as you personally helping them.

I don’t know if the bumbo seat helps with posture, but it did help my daughter learn how to sit up when she was 3-4 months old. It was a great little seat to have around when I would cook dinner too. She could sit on the counter (yes, I know we’re not supposed to put them on counters – he he) and watch me. I also got a tray for her bumbo seat and I sort of used it as a high chair in our living room. It is an awesome chair with many uses. Definitely reccommended.

I used one at about 4m, it was OK, but after about 2m she learnt how to pop out of it. For us it wasn’t worth the money, but not all kids are interested in escaping from it, many are very content. As far as posture, it didn’t help her at all, I found a babies posture corrects itself naturally as they grow.
